We are hiring an experienced Electronics Engineer for placement with one of our reputed Singapore-based deep-tech technology clients. The client is working on advanced technology solutions involving electronics, optical systems, high-speed digital platforms, and cutting-edge R&D.

The selected candidate will work closely with scientists, engineers, and technology specialists to design, build, test, integrate, and document advanced electronic systems.

Role & Responsibilities

• Break down technical requirements, prepare work plans, and maintain technical documentation.

• Design, build, integrate, and test electronic systems and hardware platforms.

• Design and modify analogue and digital electronic circuits for advanced technology applications.

• Collaborate with domain and technology experts to implement state-of-the-art and cutting-edge R&D solutions.

• Design and implement analogue circuits including amplifiers, laser drivers, and sensing circuits.

• Work with digital electronics including microcontrollers, interface protocols, digital circuits, and components.

• Design and interface microcontroller-based boards for controlling electronic and optoelectronic components.

• Support the design, testing, and validation of PCB boards, including high-speed signal considerations.

• Prepare user documentation, technical guides, and supporting materials for electronic hardware.

• Conduct testing, troubleshooting, validation, and quality-control activities.

• Present technical information effectively to internal stakeholders and customers.

• Assist in preparing technical, commercial, and research proposals with internal teams and external partners.

• Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary engineering teams.

• Perform other related technical responsibilities as assigned.

Job Requirements

Educational Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering or a related engineering discipline with 5+ years of relevant experience; or

• Master’s degree in Electronics Engineering or a related discipline with 2+ years of relevant experience.

• Strong academic achievements and/or demonstrated passion for technology through extracurricular activities will be an advantage.

• Genuine curiosity and interest in working with emerging and deep technologies.

Required Technical Skills

Analogue Electronics – Priority

• Strong practical knowledge of analogue electronics, including:

  • Amplifiers

  • Laser drivers

  • Sensing circuits

• Familiarity with a variety of analogue circuits and the ability to implement, modify, and troubleshoot existing designs.

• Experience with applications such as single-photon detection using avalanche photodiodes is highly relevant.

• Experience with high-frequency laser drivers is an advantage.

Digital Electronics

• Professional experience in the design and interfacing of digital electronics.

• Experience with:

  • Microcontrollers

  • I2C

  • SPI

  • USB

  • Other digital interface protocols

• Strong understanding of digital circuits and electronic components.

• Experience designing microcontroller boards for controlling multiple electronic or optoelectronic elements.

PCB Design & Testing

• Hands-on experience in PCB design, development, testing, and validation.

• Understanding of high-speed signal considerations in PCB and electronic system design.

• Ability to troubleshoot hardware and PCB-related issues.

Documentation & Quality Control

• Strong technical documentation skills.

• Experience maintaining comprehensive engineering documentation.

• Strong focus on testing, validation, quality control, and engineering accuracy.

Preferred / Advantageous Skills

Experience in any of the following areas will be considered an advantage:

• Quantum communication

• Single-photon detectors

• Fast pulsed laser drivers

• FPGA

• Time stamping / TDC (Time-to-Digital Converter)

• LIDAR

• Space electronics

• Optoelectronics

• Telecommunications
